I was assigned with creating the bell ringer and the warm-ups for 7th and 8th grade orchestras. I introduced the concept of S.T.A.R.S. (Sharps and flats, time, accidentals, rhythms, signs) for sight reading. I used rhythms from their pieces in conjunction with scales for their warm-ups.
